FAQs
Here are some of the questions that we get asked regularly at The Rebridal Boutique. We hope we have answered all of your questions - if not then email us on hello@therebridalboutique.co.uk
1. Do you buy secondhand wedding dresses?
The short answer is - no we don't, we sell dresses on a commission basis. If we think a dress meets the suitable criteria, we sell it in our boutique. The dress sells for half the RRP and the dress owner receives 50% of the sale price, eg. The RRP on a dress is £2000, we sell her for £1000 and the dress owner gets £500.
The criteria we are looking for are:
- Not older then 5 years
- RRP of at least £1200
- Must be a designer dress, we do not accept any Wed 2 B, Wed for Less
- Must be cleaned and in a sellable condition
Please note we get A LOT of enquiries about selling dresses, and we only have a very small boutique so cannot take in every dress that we get offered. Please send enquiries to hello@therebridalboutique.co.uk
2. Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes please! Our boutique can get busy and we want to make sure that when you visit us, we can dedicate our time to you!
You can book an appointment by clicking here
3. How much do your dresses cost?
All of our dresses are priced at half of the RRP. The average dress sells for approximately £775, our price range is between £200 and £1200 but 80% of our dresses are priced between £700-£800
4. What sizes do you stock?
Our size range is between 6-24
5. Are all of your dresses on the website?
No - the dresses in our shop are moving all of the time so lots of them sell before they make it to the website or social media. The best way to see our collection is by booking an appointment!
6. What Should I wear/bring to my bridal appointment?
The best underwear for trying on dresses is comfortable nude pants, don't worry about pants that suck y0u in - just be comfy! You don't need to worry about a special/strapless bra as 99% of wedding dresses have structure in them.
You can bring a claw clip to see what dresses look like with your hair up, and your favourite pair of heels if you want to see how dresses look with a heel - but these are both optional.
7. How many people can I bring with me to a bridal appointment?
We can fit you (the bride) + 5 people maximum. The idea number is you and 1-2 guests, the more people you invite, the more opinions you have. Bring the gang with you that are going to help you shine!
8. If I buy my wedding dress, do you have storage at the boutique?
We no longer are offering a storage service at The Rebridal Boutique due to lack of storage space. If you buy your dress and can't take it home that day, don't worry, we offer a week's grace for you to leave your dress at the boutique and pick her up when you are ready
9. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do - you can either chose to pay in full or split the payment across 3 months from the date of purchase
10. Do you have a seamstress?
We have two experienced and dedicated seamstresses who are local to central Shrewsbury. We will give you their details when you purchase a dress with us and we recommend contacting them straight away to get booked in. You will go for your dress fittings between 6-8 weeks out from your wedding date.
